2009 is ending. still no guitar lessons for Rufus :(
GUYS, IT'S RAINING. I AM SO HAPPY I HAD TO UPDATE.
And also because the year is ending or whatever and I haven't posted in forever. I thought I'd interrupt our ritual of avoiding phone calls so nobody guilt-trips us into spending NYE with them and write something ridiculous here instead.
So, I thought I'd talk about things I have learned in 2009 or whatnot, but for some reason the only thing that comes to mind is learning that Alona Tal was not, in fact, a manga. (valiant ♥) I know it doesn't even make sense, BUT I WAS SO SURE OF IT IN MY MIND FOR THE LONGEST TIME, IDK.
I think I also learned that, holy crap, will people believe just about anything when they want to. Not that I didn't know that before, but it feels like 2009 was the year of browsing ONTD and otherwise reading gossip that was so ridic you could basically trace back the steps whoever wrote it took. People are so ready to hate, it is teh disappointing.
Not disappointing: Learning that you can, in fact, squeeze Blake Lively into pretty much every AU role ever. I still don't understand why it's so adorable to think of her and Leighton having dumb beagle-dragon puppies, but I blame pirateygoodness. This is your brain on LJ Polls, children. Don't do it.
Kinda disappointing: Me, in general Having ridiculous and dramatic Princess Protection Program/DEBS story on the back burner. See above item and the general I Hate Canadians, They Make Me Want To Do Things For Them rulebook of Mary.
Speaking of books of Mary, VERY DISAPPOINTING: jengrrrl spreading lies and saying Gay Baby Taylor was the Anti-Meg. In her heart, Megan Prescott knows the truth, Jennifer.
Usual disappointing: So I am not finishing both of my ridiculous, beyond-30K-of-lame stories I had due this year. 2010 better be the year of vikings and Blair being a bitch all the time. 2010 better not the be the year of Torrent Mary. That shit is not fun when you can't even write your school essays anymore.
V. VERY DISAPPOINTING: DID NOT SEE QUEEN HAZEL GRADUATE. FUCK YOU, JOSH SCHWARTZ.
Hilarious disappointing: over five drafts of different mildly indecent ideas for bartzina13's birthday earlier this year. And this one major cracked out idea I refuse to give up, because I do believe the world needs fic with Quentin Tarantino/Cecily von Ziegesar in the disclaimer. And because I'm laughing just from typing this.
LOLOLOL OKAY I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED IN ALL OF 2009, WHAT THE HELL. Like, I can always count on my brother finding new ways to sabotage my gaming experience, like using deodorant for EVIL when I'm trying not to die in the Tower of Latria (Demon's Souls is totally not disappointing, either) And I can always count on revertigo to be creepy and bring out the L8N fangirl in me
