Say no to a 21+ Boston!

Jan 30, 2007 16:07

The City of Boston has plans to issue ordinances that any live event in the city that runs later than 11pm must be 21+. For a city concerned about drunks, drugs and brawls at "dangerous", "illegal" college basement parties, that claims to be a haven for artists and creative types, or for that matter that claims to be a first-tier city AT ALL, this is a HUGE mistake. Without access to culture, music, and social activities, teenagers in this city will have even LESS legal options for fun and with no connection to the local scene or experience with behaving in that sort of atmosphere, they're almost certain to abuse clubs once they're old enough to get in! Nothing has been finalized yet, but I promise we'll put more up here as soon as info is available. In the meantime, hit up a gig at Great Scott or Bill's Bar, because they deserve your support and may soon be denied it.
