Distant Worlds

i went for the final fantasy distant worlds orchestra show tonight.

it was pretty awesome! plus, uematsu nobuo was in the crowd, and if they never introduced him to us, we wouldn't think this strange looking japanese man in rice coloured clothes and a bandana on his head would have been the composer of the music for 20 years of FF. lol. he shuffled to to back to join the choir during "one wing angel", hopping on the spot through the song. lol, he's really passionate about his music!

when the conductor walked out in his coat tails, i thought, "penguin style!" (sorry, probably only bonedoll will get this joke...)

they played video clips of the games during the music, so when they played "to zaranakand", obviously tidus starting running around on screen, so my brother was snorting. when they played the clip of yuna dancing, my sister made fun of me, and that kinda sucked. lol.

it was pretty amazing to listen to these beautiful pieces of music (Fisherman's Horizon, Terra's theme and the Opera from FFVI) in orchestra style- the festival orchestra did a wonderful job. they also played some i didn't know, like the theme from FFIII, which was very nice, yes, and some music from FFXI.

we stayed for the dialogue session, and some of these people have come from malaysia, indonesia, and there are really some hardcore fans in the crowd. skipped the autograph session and got ourselves a cd.

i feel like playing some of those games again. (or, asking my sister to play for me to watch. hahahahaha!)
