International Kite Fliers meeting was cancelled this year. But the beach is open and so is the border with Germany. There were kites on the beach. Fewer than last year. Maybe one third of the last year's amount.
It rained for a few days before and the beach sand was compressed and non-fluid. I took out EUC and had a go. This quite possibly was the experience I wanted all my life - flying among kites.

There were many people who tried to fly something between kites. There are few photographers with cameras attached to a kite. I met one who had remote control to his camera. He goes around the beach, navigates his kite and stirs camera from below.
I seen few people try to fly a drone, but strong winds make drones difficult to control and drain batteries extremely quick.
Riding EUC on the beach was flying. I don't care if I was only few centimetres above ground - the experience of fast movement without any controls or supports was equal to flight. Standing is so natural to us, humans, that we tend to forget that we are standing.
