Привет Вам! Мне очень понравился этот журнал. Мой сейчас пустует по ряду причин, но всё же я успеваю почитать других, и когда нахожу новые интересные журналы, стараюсь добавлять их в свою ленту, чтобы не упустить из виду. Если Вы не против, я внесу в свой список и fivestep log.

I noticed that there are a lot of Russian-speakers on here. Interesting. I never knew LJ was so popular with Russians (though LJ marks entries as either cyrillic and non-cyrillic).

I believe LJ was found by Six Apart, an American start-up. LJ became popular in Russia due to low resource requirements. It worked with old browsers and did not require Java.
Later, in 2006, Russian media company SUP bought LJ as a means to control this popular blogging platform. LJ is owned by Russian media and still quite popular in Russia.
