you may not agree with the war but 76 percent of americans do, and it ticks me off that all i see in the city is the voice of such a small minority of americans being heard louder than the majority.as much as i respect your desire for peace, if no military were taken ever, murderers and saddam would keep their power. thus, thousands of people would continue to be murdered.so my problem is if peace doesnt stop atrocities, what then? the destruction of innocent people is a fact under the regimes of these killers and saddam. saddam has ruled for 24 years, peaceful means did not remove this tyrant. as a christian and an AMERICAN,my conscience will not allow me to watch innocent people be brutalized, while good people stand on the sidelines. that, in opinion, is simply wrong. it may seem like i dont, but i respect people who don't want war. but theyve got 8,500 liters of anthrax unaccounted for, and guess who never told where they are. this war is not for oil. the un set up a program called food for oil where the money made goes into a UN trust fund. thats it. i realy do not see a clear reason why we shouldnt use military action. i guess this is how i BLINDLY support my counrty. thanks for making me write this.

I suppose depending which side you're on determines which side you think is most heard. Before the war, I thought that representation of those against the war in the media was incredibly small. Now that the protests have gotten more disruptive, they have been receiving more press. But obviously, since your opinion is in the majority and since we already are at war, the pro-war side is at a great advantage. I disagree with you when you say that the anti-war side is being heard louder. If that were true, then there would be no war at the moment.

You say that murderers and Sadam would keep their power without action. However, there are murderers in other countries that we turn a blind eye to and do not intervene with military power. I agree that Sadam is a terrible man and an evil dictator, but I do not believe it is our right to change Iraq's regime. What if a different country thought Bush and democracy were evil and dangerous so they tried to change our regime?

America has a bad rap around much of the world due to its foreign interventionist policies. These policies were not always the rule to America's foreign policy since the U.S. used to be vehemently isolationist.

Innocent people in Iraq will be affected. If a bomb drops on the wrong target... for example. Also, their water system is primitive at best and is still filthy due to the Gulf War.

Yes, Iraq has anthrax. But we gave them Anthrax. Under Dick Cheney's company Halliburton, he sold anthrax to Iraq. Also, we helped Hussein get into power.

I need to leave now, but I would love to continue talking to you, sorry for curing at you and whatnot but um that made me mad, heh.

still i base my support of military action against saddam on one overwhelming fact.and note the word FACT. according to the united nations saddam has refused to account for 8500 liters of anthrax as well as 31000 other chemical munitions. again, that's according to the UN. faced with that FACT, it is dangerous to allow an evil dictator to remain in power. yes there are others, but we are not focusing on that right now. now if you want to chance that saddam would never use those deadly weapons that is your right in a free society, and i respect that right. but i doont want to chance that. this is after 911 and after the UN has demanded EIGHTEEN! times that saddam give up his weapons, again, i dont want to take the chance and international law is on my side. what i believe is you and other antiwar people are failing to understand that we have entered into the most dangerous period of american history ever. the terorists will kill you and your family. the nations like iraq and north korea have the ability to provide those terrorists with doomsday weapons. you are failing to recognize true evil. in the 1930s millions didnt want to confront hitler and many jews in europe could not conceive of an evil that would attempt to wipe out an entire race of people. thus, millions of jews were caught by surprise when rounded up by the nazis and the world did not join to fight hitler until it was far too late. todays terrorists are nazis. they will slaughter you and your whole family. but unlike the nazis, they have no fear of death. americans need to wake up and fast. we are in crisis period where mass murder is an every day possibility and a probability. if only every country in the world would confront the evil of terrorism it could not exist on this planets but every country will not do that. they do not see the evil. they do not care if americans die. the nazis are back and this time their panzers are plutonium and anthrax. and i just have a question for you do you and the antiwar demonstrators consider the ramifications of your actions? american protesters succeeded in shutting down the war effort in vietnam and that was a good thing? the south vietnamese government was corrupt and jhnson would not fight the war to win because he was afraid of chinese andsoviet intervention. but when our troops pulled out of southeast asia many bad things began to happen. two million cambodians were slaughtered by pol pot and his communist killers and millions were enslaved by a totalitarian regime in vietnam. if you remember the peaceniks back then said nothing about these atrocities and totally ignored the holocaust in cambodia. that same scenario could happen again if the peace people have their way. saddam will remain in power. he willl continue to play hide and seek with whatever weapons he has and like ive said and according to the UN hes got anthrax, vx gas, ricin and on and on and on. peace demonstrators are willing to take the chance that he will not hand these weapons off to alquieda, or to other terrorists. are you willing to take that chance, im not. i can respect sincere opinion that is well thought out, like yours. so i cant condemn peace marchers like you. i can only say that i believe that it is terribly wrong.
i can also say with confidence that many marching for peace simply hate the US. especially overseas and some americans feel bush is a bigger menace to the world than saddam. this kind of thinking is frightening.but its a reality andunfortunately we all have to deal with this because the protesters are very visible. take in hand yesterday in nyc. one of the happiest men around these days is sadam. he love the peace demonstrators because they will keep him in power longer and they are prolonging his life. he loves france and germany and russia because they want to keep him in power and most of all he loves the fact that we is being vilified for trying to rid the world of a true villain. it makes me sick.

and so I ask, why was a move not made earlier? In the 24 years of his reign, why did a democracy in iraq not matter until now, that there is a threat of no oil, and that there is a threat to the U.S. Chemical weapons? sure. our govt sold it to them. too bad thats a poor excuse because chemical plants are needed to make chemical weapons, and chemical plants cant go undetected by satellites. better yet. why would saddam, or bin laden, or north korea, or anyone else want to harm america? because they're complete off the wall psychos? or because something hasnt been said. (yours truly, fucking antiwar hippie)

you make me sick "because they're complete off the wall psychos" maybe you my friend. and if you do not like the country you live in, move to france. im sure they will back up your apathetic anti-american view. here is what i think about you not too well thought out statment. actaually, a whole bunch of moves were made earlier, and the whole UN weapons inspection, what was that? there is a threat and i hope you realize the ramifications if we do not stop saddam. are you asking to be victimized by another terrorist act on our soil? even if that statement is true and we sold chem weapons, wouldnt they still have chemical weapons then? and does that not pose a threat and violate UN resolutions. it doesnt matter if we sold them it or they developed it, they still have it, and thats what matters. i am tired. so for you and anyone else, please back up your statements with something prevelant, well thought out, and factual. because it just shows the ignorance supporting your cause. thanks i love you guys
