small blessings...

Had a crappy weekend, a crappy week. I'm tired and crabby and generally over emotional. My kitty got sick and I had to consider whether or not it was time to put her down... (we didn't put her down, and now she is on meds). The naughty teenagers at work tried to riot, and then stole a key, so we had to search the entire place. On top of all of this, I m STILL trying to get my energy back from being so sick a month ago...

Soooo....

Now that I bitched, I am going to stop bitching and do what I really need to do, which is start thjinking about the GOOD things.

1. I am married to, quite possibly, the sweetest, most giving man, on the face of the earth. He loves me madly, and tells me so almost everyday. He's not good at cleaning, but he's great at sewing the buttons back on my shirts, and putting together the greatest mixed CD's I have ever heard. Oh and hugs... he's great at hugs.

2. My family is all healthy and mostly happy. They also love me, and I get along with them just fine most days. My nephew and nieces are healthy, happy, and the 3 year old thinks I am the coolest auntie in the world 'cause I like to play with Pla-Dough. I see my mom's (both of them) just about every week, and they love American Idol and Survivor as much as I do (a rare thing in this world).

3. I have a job. It may not be the most fun job in the wolrd, but every day I help someone. Even if I just get them a juice when they are thirsty. They don't always appreciate me, but hey, that just means the few who do will stick out in my mind. And the pay is decent. I can pay my bills and usually have a bit left over for some Chinese Food and a good movie.

4. I have a home. I don't own it. I can't put up shelving where I want to. I have no control over the heat, but dammit... I have a roof over my head and a bed to sleep in. And a couch to curl up on when I feel like crap. I have a Hippo-in-a-Tutu lamp, and a PS2 where I can play Ratchet and Clank all day if I want to. I have the greatest bathtub in the world. And a magnet of Super Grover on my fridge. I can listen to ANY BOWIE SONG EVER RECORDED (thank you hubby SLT).

Okay, I am done for now, and you what? I actually feel a bit better. Oh, I forgot to thank the academy...
