(no subject)
So Psyched!!!! Hubby got napster, and of course i have been browsing like crazy. I may be obsessed with my past, but dammit!!! I am excited to have found one of my favorite songs from my dreamy eyed early teens!!!
When I was, oh, 13 (?) I recorded a favorite song off of KDWB, never knowing who sang it, just that it made my love sick 13 year old brain all mushy. I then proceeded to record THAT recording onto another tape, Over and Over and Over and Over again. Making an entire 45 mins of my new favorite song, which I would listen to Over and Over and Over and Over........
I'd sit in my room all dreamy eyed, imagining my first kiss, and meeting my true love, and blah blah blah... so on and so forth.
So last night I found the track on Napster!!! The First Time by the band Surface. Nope, I haven't heard of them either, but I promise you The First Time hit the Billboard List.
And I still love it!!! It sucks, and is seedy, and cheesy, but there is still that dreamy eyed teeny in me who melts when I hear it... And all the better, for I HAVE found my true love, and it was everything I dreamed it would be.
