I Hate it when....
I hate it when people try to tell me how to do my job!!! I worked with two nurses tonight who usually manage to piss me off at least once during the weekend!!!
So I am training in a new guy tonight, and he is nicely playing a game with one of the patients. Now this particular patient was very difficult, and he managed to keep her occupied for over 15 minutes. Since I was working on stuff he already knew how to do, I let him play the game. In my oppinion it is just as important for a new trainee to get comfortable working with the patients (especially the difficult ones) as it is for him to learn the tasks we are responsible for doing.
Then this nurse comes over and tells him to go find me, and tells me she thinks he needs to be learning about the uinit, not playing games. I just said "fine" but I am still steaming. Maybe I'll tell her not to tell me how to do my job tomorrow.
God, I am so happy I am switching to all days, and I don't have to put up with this crap anymore after Nov. 7.

P.S. I saw Becca Mae for the first time in the hospital Thurs. It is hard to believe that something that tiny can be alive!!!! She is truly a miracle.
