The Doctor was watching the video screen with particular interest considering all Martha saw was a dying star. She studied the scene carefully, searching for any surrounding planets, but the closest planet she could find was just a distant blue blur on the edge of the screen. It seemed safely out of the way. She glanced up at the Doctor and decided that he didn't seem worried so much as puzzled and fascinated. It would seem that no one was in danger this time.
So what was so compelling? What was it exactly that kept the Doctor's eyes glued to the screen and totally ignoring her. Rose.Martha thought in a particularly bitter fashion. She shook her head and scolded herself for being petty, and finally gave in to her curiosity.
"Doctor, what's wrong?" Her hand came to rest on his shoulder in a gesture of comfort, but all it did was make him jump and shrink away.
"Oh! Martha! Ummm...Nothing wrong exactly, I mean, it's not as if there's anything we could do. At least I don't think so. I mean, I suppose, if you were Jack, you could do something, but this is just a bit more bizarre than I'd like to think he'd go. Oh God I hope he wouldn't go this far..."
"This far what?" The Doctor finally really looked at her, and she noticed that his cheeks were a bit flushed.
"Martha, this isn't a star. It's a sentient being. It's got a heartbeat, thoughts, feelings, the works. The thing is, you can't tell what it is at the moment because as the TARDIS approached, flames slowly started burning all over it." His fingers brushed over his lips absently as his gaze returned to the screen.
"Why?" His eyes flicked to her face for a moment before shifting sideways uncomfortably.
"Well...it's...aroused."
"What?"
"I think there's something about the radiation that the TARDIS gives off that the creature seems to...really like."
Martha gaped at him, "You're kidding me."
"'fraid not." The Doctor's voice was muffled by his hand. Martha wondered if he would hide his whole face if it weren't for his fascination with the televised sex act before him. For a few minutes they simply stared at the screen in confused silence.
Martha snorted suddenly and dissolved into a fit of giggles. The Doctor raised his eyebrows at her, and she laughed harder.
"I was just thinking," she paused to gasp for breath, "Does the TARDIS get anything out of it? When this is over, does the creature ask her, 'was it good for you too?'"
The Doctor tried to give her a disapproving look, he really did. It was wrong to mock other species mating practices- although he often found himself amused by the way humans went about prettying themselves before sex only so they could look dirty and nasty during the act- and by now he had thought she would know better.
But the idea of the TARDIS being an unsatisfied lover did make him break his steely resolve. A smile spread across his face. He laughed until he was weak in the knees and collapsed into the captain's chair.
"Oh dear, sweet TARDIS," Martha brushed a hand across the console, "You poor thing."
"I'm sorry, love, you'll only be touched by one man," the Doctor jumped to his feet again and grabbed several of the TARDIS levers one by one. His voice when husky, "And that's me."
Martha's laughter stopped abruptly, and the Doctor spun to face her. She looked dazed. Her eyes were focused on the console.
Or rather, where the console met his crotch.
As Martha walked towards him, her gaze burning into his body, his lips, his eyes, she caressed the TARDIS again.
"I'm sorry TARDIS," she murmured, her fingers twisting in the Doctor's hair, "But you're going to have to share."
They kissed deeply. In the distance, the "star" exploded with white hot flame.

This is so silly and weird and porny and I think I'll write you something better with the same prompt.
But I liked the image so I went with it. ;_;
Also, I apologize if the idea of a sentient star has already been used in Doctor Who...I haven't seen all of the episodes of the new seasons let alone the "classic" Doctors...=P
