[The video cuts out before he can get a word in edgewise, but it's comforting enough knowing that his partner already knows where he is.
He knows that Barnaby won't waste any time getting there, and will be there in no time at all, but that doesn't change the fact that he's drifting off where he sits regardless. If anything, it makes him feel safer, makes him feel like things will be alright after all, and that relaxes him and eases his pain to a surprising degree.
He's hardly aware of when his partner arrives and crouches down next to him, but it couldn't have been more than five minutes, the telltale glow of the Hundred Power still outlining his figure and irises.
The blue does nothing to hide the worry; does nothing to mask it in his voice either. From his slouched position on the swing he's seated on, he tilts his head and offers a warm smile. Unfortunately, it doesn't reach his eyes, which are hardened with a grim, serious glint.]
Now's not the best time to talk about this.
[He perks up at the mention of the hospital, and mutters a mantra of "ow"s as he's lifted, and it's all he can do to grasp tightly to his partner's jacket and squeeze, the action painful.]
Bunny, no hospitals! [He takes a moment to crack an eye open, and swallow.] Judge Petrov's around here somewhere and - [He stops, and pleads in a tiny, exhausted voice.] - can't we just go home?

-- you better not scuff the leather. [He says, for the sake of it more than anything else. What's important is getting Kotetsu to help - proper help. Which isn't going to happen here. Which is why Kotetsu's argument earns him a confused stare, something which asks, quite plainly, are you out of your stupid mind old man did you fall and hit your head?
He keeps the words to himself though, shaking his head.] You need a doctor. Don't be stupid. [His brow furrows at the mention of Judge Petrov but he looks up for the other man anyway, already beginning to stand with Kotetsu in his arms.]

Upon ending his phone call with the Chief Prosecutor (which turned out to be something that could have waited until he returned from his lunch break), he returns to the swing-set to see Barnaby Brooks Jr. holding his partner princess style.]
Mr. Brooks, is carrying your partner in that fashion the best idea when you don't know the extent of his injuries?
