[He pouts a little, and hopes she's not onto his powers. He doesn't want to go around revealing that kind of thing, at least not without some kind of suitable disguise.
The very idea of hurting someone is a bit of a touchy scenario for him, though.]
... *To be honest, it is no walk in the park for her either, but she wanted to know. She has never really met anyone with strange powers - which she figured this man had. It takes a few moment to muster enough courage to admit it.*
[He surprised, but not because she has a power, but because of the type of power that it is. He's never heard of an ability like that, and thus had nothing to compare it to.]
It's a fear she once had too. A fear which makes you a loner and a coward. But she's somewhat glad to see someone who has overcome that as well ...*
... Mister. Can I ask you a question?
Reply
Um, of course! I'll try to answer it.

Do you think if someone with special powers have already ... hurt someone, do you think that someone can atone for it?

Are you talking from experience, Miss?

... Yes. When I was little.

[He pauses to sigh, but he firmly believes in second chances (in the right circumstances, of course.)]
And if it wasn't? Then you just have to work a little harder.

Although I am not sure if it'll mean anything to the person I've hurt ...
*But in the end, she hopes it does make a difference. Foolish or not.*

[He probably shouldn't ask, but he's a meddling old man at heart.]
How did you end up hurting this person?
Reply
*She doesn't look that disturbed by the memory - what came after was more shocking to her anyway.*
I naturally got angry ... and my "thought" put him in coma for several years.

[A child defending themselves with powers they can't control, he sighs. It's more common than she might think, and he can't place blame.
He does look genuinely curious, though.]
Your "thought"? I don't understand...
Reply
It's my "special power." Sometimes if my thought is malicious ... it can physically hurt someone. Although I don't use it for that kind of thing.

Are you able to at least control it?
Reply
Normally people get scared when hearing about something like that. You are strange, mister.
*a nod here.*
But yes. I learned how to control it about a year ago.

[He smiles rather innocently though, at the good news.]
Ah. I'm happy to hear that! I imagine controlling something like that isn't easy...
[He knows better than ever the struggle of controlling something of that nature, he had similar issues with his own powers.]

... It is hard to explain into words. It happened so instantly, you see ... But it was as though I knew it all along and just didn't understand.
*In fact, it was so easy that it was like riding bicycle. Once you learned it, you never forgot it.*
Sorry. I am not making sense, am I?
Reply
No, no. I get what you're saying! [Better than she knows. It's a pity that it wasn't that easy for him, though.]
I'm glad that you understand now, then.
