- This seems like an easy way to update, today. I've got no energy because the heat sucked my soul out of my body.
- Dropping a friend of mine off the other night, I noticed someone quite visibly peeking through their blinds at me. Then, with the help of their silhouette against the covered window, I saw them pull their belt off of their waist and make a tourniquet. Isn't it nice how I can look in pretty much any direction in Austin and see a heroin addict?
- I love my new apartment. It felt like home the first night I slept there. That's never happened before, anywhere.
- I need to make 300 dollars before the 14th for court fines or I'll go to jail.
- I lost my job at the hotel for being late. That is.. I lost it a week after the fact. I wish they'd fired me that day, so I could have been looking for another job a week earlier.
- I got a job at the 6th Street Cool Store today. I walked in and it somehow fell right into my lap. I get my schedule in a few days. It probably pays shit, but I like the atmosphere, and the people. Not to mention, it's wicked close to my place. Not to mention, I need a job for the judge and probation people to accept my plea bargain.
- Hopefully, Star Seeds will be as pleasant and hire me right away. I'm supposed to get an interview at the beginning of next week. Cross your fingers for me. I think I'd make a bitchen waitress.
- I had drinks with Mitch during Happy Hour yesterday. He is an awesome person. I wish I'd spent more time with him over the last three years. We have a Tetris match coming up. I will prevail.
- I think the Explorer is going to die. I'm sort of bummed about it. I know I can get around town other ways. It's just so fucking hot, lately, and August is just beginning. It's the hottest month of the year, and this year seems spectacularly hot.
