HESC367 - History of the World Cup (3 cr.)
The History of the World Cup will examine the social, political, and economic impact of the World Cup. We will also examine how the World Cup influences systems of play. The contributions of individuals and teams will also be explored.
Let's ignore the fact that there was no way I could have shoveled out $6700 only a week after paying for Ireland and instead mourn the fact that I could have taken a class about the World Cup in South Africa last summer. T_T Woe is me, although I might not have met all the really awesome peeps over at hetalia_sports since I would have, you know, been watching the games at some bar or something in South Africa instead. Quite the toss up.
Anyway, time for fangirl screaming, because they're making a second one. Mere words cannot express my utter joy.

Day 1- Very first anime:
The first anime I saw in Japanese was
Yu-gi-oh!
The first anime I remember fangirling over was
Pokemon.
But for very first anime ever? As surprising as this will no doubt be,
Sailor Moon. I can still sing the fricken theme song word for word and it's been who knows how long since I last saw the show.
Tbh, I don't really remember much about Sailor Moon, just that Sailor Moon and her friends who were the sailors of actual planets (except Pluto) were trying to save the world from...something. And Tuxedo Mask. Oh, Tuxedo Mask. My friend and I were having a conversation recently and Sailor Moon came up. My brother was passing by, overhears as and says, "Sailor Moon? Isn't that the one with the guy in the mask and the cape?" And then he claims not to like anime. What a loser.
Anyway, yeah, Sailor Moon was my first anime, even if I don't remember why I liked it so much, I still watched it every weekday when it was on. I'm pretty sure I still have a Sailor Jupiter doll somewhere...
