And So ...This Is Netflix

We have had access to Netflix for quite a while but we are traditional TV watchers.
The Netflix programmes all seem to be the same.
We watched two seasons of Virgin River. A third is planned.
Essentially it is about a 35 year old nurse escaping from Los Angeles (hubby and baby have died) and relocating to tranquil northern California where a 40 yr old barowner is escaping the trauma of being a US Marine veteran in Iraq.

Frankly it was just like every other 35 year old woman meeting 40 year old man.
Will they?
Wont they?
They did.

We are now half way thru four seasons of a Sci Fi series called Travelers.
The Travellers are thousands of people sent from 400 years in the future. People who are dying are taken over as hosts.
The series features one five person Traveler team. The premise is that they steer the world away from making mistakes mostly environment and climate related to change the Future.

There are two complicating factors. One is that the "intelligence" on the hosts is not always accurate...eg one host is a heroin addict.
The second complicating factor is that there is effectively a civil war in the future and the traveler teams are on one side or the other.
Vancouver inCanada is a big movie making city and although the show is set in Seattle and the characters are all American, the actors are all Canadian.

This is a bit like a show being set in London and all the parts played by Irish people cos the show is made in Ireland.

Some Virgin River actors (Canadian) are also playing parts in Travelers.
It is all a bit silly but watchable.

The one bizarre thing is that the premise is very similar to a fantasy that has been in my head for years.
The difference is that I am an alien who can access the bank accounts and portfolios of very rich evil people and redistribute their wealth.

Have you ever watched a show on TV and thought "hey I thought of that first?"
