Through a MetaFilter link-walk, I found this article. I'm not saying "I agree*" or "I disagree**," but it's an interesting perspective on the issues discussed, and one I honestly hadn't encountered anything much like before.
Also (in reference to a very minor point that takes up one short paragraph), I have to say, I am on the side of libraries forever and ever. I would die to save libraries. I don't care what misguided book-burning campaign goes after them; that campaign is my enemy.
Also also, Lauren Olivia, it mentions that book, The Continuum Concept !
* I've always liked the idea of Jubilee, for instance. Well, "always" since I first heard of it in my mid- or late teens. The six year always.
** But I really give the side-eye to anyone who ever begins a clause with "I loved the idea in Fight Club--"
