Hello Ladies!! I haven't been very active in this community but I do continue to read and enjoy it. I am starting over. A year or so ago I went through a period of depression and I have continued to struggle with that. During that time I stopped exercising and doing a lot of other positive stuff.
I did try to maintain a decent diet and that has been my saving grace. A few weeks ago I got a gym membership again. I went to the Gym for the first time last night. I felt pretty uncomfortable in a new place but the gym I chose "Planet Fitness" seems very "Average Joes-like" and after I got over my nervousness I quite enjoyed my lil stretch warmup, 20 minute light cardio and cooldown stretch. I am not terribily sore today and I have more energy. Tonight I'm going back for my complimentary meeting with the personal trainers to plan my "fitness routine". I know that it's just the very tiniest of steps to get back to where I was a few years ago.
There's a lot of things about my life I need to change. A more healthy lifestyle being just one of them. I did want to note the fact that I actually USED and ENJOYED my gym membership. I may start updating here from time to time in addition to continuing to read. It's the very barest of beginnings but it's a start.
