I went to Salt Spring Island for the first time and it was beautiful. I left spontaneously on Sunday and returned yesterday, also a Sunday. During the time we were on the island, (David and I), we went to Parker Island for two nights to visit Alexis and Manny. Parker Island is really close to Galiano and about a twenty minute ride on Alexis and Manny's boat. It only has 4 year round residents! Is that not amazing? It was beautiful. We slept in their hammock under the stars right beside the ocean and I woke up one morning to about five sea otters peacefully swimming by. Alexis and I went kayaking, (my first time, it was fun and easier than I thought), and collected dulce, seaweed and other sea greens to eat fresh and dehydrate, and I got to take a jar full away with me, which I am enjoying. Also, I sewed a backpack while I was there, a really neat striped one, which was convenient as I had nothing with me but the clothes on my back when we left Salt Spring and she loaded us up with apple sauce and jams and such, so I had something to carry them in! ^^
I am now going to be going either today or tomorrow to something called Firemaker, (www.firemaker.org), as Frank's guest, so I am excited about that. It starts today, but I might just leave tomorrow. I am a little nervous because I am going alone and I am not exactly sure where it is, though I do have a map from the site so that is good. From there I would like to go to Duncan, meeting up with Pat somehow, then to Port Alberni, then to Tofino/Ucluelet for sea green harvesting.
After this is the Rainbow Gathering for which Seed Camp, if a ride worked out, has already begun. Seed Camp is the setting up and preparations. The full moon is on August 9th I think, and that is the big celebration, the center of the Rainbow. Christa, if you want to come I would love to bring you and work it around your schedule so that you can come.
Well, that is my update. I love you all and hope to see some of you very soon! ^^

All my love,
-Sarah Christina
