winter is a good time to reflect on things, especially to plan the trophys and plaques that you are going to adorn your house with after the coming show season. I'm in it to win it this year...I'm going to do the hunters with Maverick this year and apply for the Canadian Warmblood Assc achievement award points system. I figure I can at least qualify for the year end achievement award and start stacking up the points for a lifetime achievement award for Maverick. I think it would be a nice thank you to the girl who didn't want him because he wasn't good enough for her.

In terms of breed and halter shows for Sam, unfortunately the Canadian Sport Horse assc is undergoing some major changes and is not doing the annual breed show...so that leaves the BC sport Horse Asssc, that's not so bad...its a shame the CEF doesn't man up and start getting some good breed shows going in BC, but there seems to be a huge lack of support for it. Gee, and the Canadian Olympic team wonders why they have to keep importing from Holland...hmmm. Bet if they made riding a horse bred in your country mandatory, breeder programs would really shape up! Don;t get me wrong, there are a lot of wonderful warmblood breeders in Canada, but not enough of them, and no encouragement or incentive.

so there. lol.
