bleh...at work...planning my escape to go riding...its such a nice day out, maybe I'll borrow a standing martingale and go for a gallop. I feel ballsy. lol. see how long that lasts

Miss you too! It's so pretty at the farm right now, with the leaves all changing colors. I haven't been able to ride much since I got my temp job but at least I will have some cash for winter. Have a lesson on Ali tomorrow - she is jumping small courses now and cantering fences, just little ones but she is super fun to jump. It settles her right down.
On Sunday Sam ducked under the fence and decided to go hang with the morgans and cricket for a few hours. It was the funniest thing ever! He was so excited and Louie was thrilled to have a buddy to go racing around with. The mares were patient and tolerant even when he tried to climb all over them. I would not worry about gelding him anytime soon though, he is still a complete puppy dog (though he is going through a stubborn phase about having his feet worked with, but gives in fast enough). It would be nice to hold off on gelding him so he gets that awesome neck like his dad. I'm still thinking of weaning him thanksgiving weekend - it'll be easy, he's already pretty independent and has lots of mare friends for company. Then maybe around xmas I can bring him up.
