Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities: Tamaraneans have a number of special abilities. All their powers are driven by emotions, leading Starfire to be the most sensitive of Jump City's Teen Titans.

For instance. Flight can be achieved by thinking thoughts of glorious feelings flight brings, as stated in 'Switched'. Other such powers as Energy Projection a.k.a. Starbolts tend to come from thoughts such as 'righteous justice'.

As Starfire only gained the ability of Eye-Bolts (the same as Starbolts, save from her eyes. Kind of like lasers) after she'd hit puberty, and as they are primarily used when her own hands are tied up.

Superhuman strength, Invulnerability and Self Sustenance are all things that Tamaraneans have. The ability to travel through space on their own without being affected by the vaccuum of pressure, nor the blistering temperatures. Unless there's a freak snow storm or some such, she'll be fine. Tamarans are weakened by freezing temperatures.

Starfire is, apparently, said to have nine stomachs and a long, purple, prehensile tongue. Probably for storing food during hard times. That and she eats like a horse. -- As mentioned above; Starfire is able to learn any language from a kiss. Originally, Starfire of the DC Comics was able to learn language simply from touch. It's presumed that she chose a kiss when learning for Robin out of preference.

Conditional: If your character has no superhuman canon abilities, what dormant ability will you give them? N/A

History/Personality/Plans/etc.

Character History: Here / Scroll Past Robin

Point in Canon: Post Season 4

Character Personality: Alright. First and foremost; Starfire isn't human. She's an alien from the planet Tamaran, effectively making her Tamaranian. She's also royalty, but this doesn't effect her personality all that much, especially considering when I'm taking her from.

She speaks very bluntly, rarely, if ever using contractions. This sets her apart immediately from her rather street-savvy team. They may not all be human, but they've all lived on Earth their whole lives. Starfire has only lived on Earth for maybe a year or two. She's still learning many of their customs, and as such she's... sort of naive about things.

The difference between naivety and stupidity is very different however. Starfire has a very strong sense of right and wrong, and will always protest if she thinks something isn't right. It's possible to convince her otherwise, but not easy. On that note, Star is also very protective of her friends. You mess with them, and you'll have the wrath of a pubescant teenage alien on you like white on rice.

This can sometimes get her into trouble however, if she is unable to quite match strength with whoever she's up against. While she does care to keep people casualties out of her fights, she's rather uncaring for property damage. She'll rip a support beam off it's hinges and beat down whatever monster she's fighting, either unawares or uncaring of what the consequences are. She is good, however, at not choosing something that would bring the entire building down. But don't expect to see smooth even streets or sidewalks if she gets into a particularily messy fight. The same goes for windows, walls, stores, etc.

She's fairly indestructable, so throwing her throw a six foot cement wall won't do a whole lot besides piss her off and give her a few bruises, either. That being said, she doesn't like to fight all that much. Especially if it's someone she knows or cares about. She's also an apologetic hero. She'll apologize for whatever damage she's about to cause her victim, truly wishing she didn't have to stop them in such a way. If things could be solved peacefully? She'll leap at the chance.

Another note: Starfire might be from another planet, but she's not unawares to her own looks and the effects it can have on the opposite sex. She will gladly flirt and giggle at cute boys, though with her customs as they are, she usually ends up scaring/turning them off.

Starfire has a wicked temper, too. It takes a lot to piss her off outside of battle, but if it's managed, she will bite your head off, and .. usually try and start a fight. But on the offside, she has quite a gay side as well. And I mean gay as in Happy. As in friendship bracelets, slumber parties and (awful sounding) Tamaranian songs for almost any occasion. She is very keen on the Power of Friendship type shpiel, believing in her friends no matter what. For example: When Robin turned for Slade and became his apprentice, she refused to attack Robin when it came down to it, instead letting him attack her, trusting that he would pull through in the end. It kind of sucked for a while, but he did. She never held it against him.

Also never ask her to cook for you. She tries, bless her, but whatever she makes is likely to start moving on it's own.

[With the little communicator in hand, Starfire sat at the foot of her bed, turning it over once or twice. She'd learned a long time ago how to use the Titan Communicator, but this was... Different. A keyboard she could recognize, and the on off switch..

But not the volume switch.]

Hello? Robin, is this one of your new machine-toys? A 'gadget'? I am sorry if I should not be touching it, but the Titan Communicator does not respond to my requests any longer. Or perhaps this is Cyborg's? Beast Boy! Did you lose one of your game controllers, I have found it for you!

[The sound didn't carry so well when it was being shaken like a marraca, the sound of a door latch opening and closing drowning out the dying words from the little Tamaranean.]

...This is not Titan Tower.

Third Person Sample

When the girl opened her eyes, she gaze wasn't met with the normal view of the opposite side of her room. Her head wasn't hanging off the end of the bed, and her feet were certainly not tucked against her pillow. Something was wrong. Sitting up with a jerk, Starfire glanced about. This was definitely not her room. But how had she ended up here?

The last thing she rememered, was laying down for the night, in her own room, within Titan Tower, in Jump City. A quick glance to her window proved that no, she was no longer in Jump City. With breath caught in her throat, the young Tamaranean stood up, barely noticing the little communicator fall to the floor in her hurry. The sound of it hitting the floor was enough to draw her attention, dipping down to pick it up.

"This is not..." Reaching to her waist, she still found the Titan Comm tucked securely in her skirt. Of course, a quick comparison was all she needed. The two items looked nothing alike.

"Where am I?" She brushed her fingers across the little communicator, gasping when it lit up briefly. She'd turned it on! This was a start. If she could contact her friends, then maybe this would stop being so confusing. Raven was safe, the city was safe, and her friends should all be in there rooms. -- But of course! If they woke up, and she was gone... What would they think? "I don't remember being kidnapped.." Another gasp. "What if this mastermind has drugged me?" She'd begun pacing, fingers drumming against her Titan Communicator, leaving the little Blackberry upon the bed. No no no, this wasn't right. If she'd been kidnapped, she would have woken up. Someone would have heard! If anyone had infiltrated the tower, then the alarm should have gone off.

Everyone should know she was gone. This wasn't good. She had to get back. Furthermore, she'd had to stop whoever was doing the kidnapping. The door--

"No more sitting around..." Deep breath. "I shall find a way home." And she reached for the handle.
