Hi everyone! I am so excited about this community...that being said, here is my dreaded info!

Current Weight: 173.5 lbs
Short Term Goal: 150-155 lbs
Long Term Goal: 125-135 (size 7/8)

After revealing all that, let me give everyone some background info. Over the past two years I gained approximately 35-40 lbs which was the result of many factors. Between the stress of school and several medications, my weight skyrocketed almost overnight. I started going to a gym in January and was going very consistenly until I got sick in March and stopped going. I wasn't thrilled with the whole gym experience because I felt very self consious and uncomfortable. I decided that if I wasnt going to go to the gym I needed to find something else to do so I bought an elliptical machine for my apartment. This works well for me because I can do it in the privacy of my home. I also enjoy doing Tae Bo videos. I also walk during my break and lunch hour at work with a friend (which is great for support!). As for the food issue, I am not following any particular "diet", but I am cutting out the junk food and trying to drastically lower my carbs. I eat a ton of fruits, veggies and soup.

I also wanted to share with everyone one of my favorite healthy goodies. Whenever I am craving a snack (ice cream is my weakness) I found "Skinny Cow" ice cream products and they are to die for! They are all extremely low in cals and fat. Figured I'd tell everyone about them since summer is coming!
