Um . . . I think I'm being followed.

Maybe.

He has something really strange on his head.

Should I confront him? I mean, he's not doing anything *wrong*, but it makes me feel a little strange.

And who knows what he might be learning about me??

[This is Amelia, twitching a little as though she can feel the eyes on her back, sending a quick glance over her shoulder to see whether or not he's still there.]

[He's still there, beacuse Cheza told him to follow people... he just doesn't know who]

[In true anime fashion, Amelia sweatdrops. And well, she's received no advice about how to go about this, so she'll have to take matters into her own hands. Drawing a breath, she turns quickly, fully, back towards Toboe, leveling her finger at him.]

"Sir of the very strange hat, are you following me?"

[Lesser people might have run, but Amelia wil Tesla Saillune believes in the direct approach!]

[chibihowling]

[Watch him flail a lot]

I-I'm not following you!

[She doesn't believe it. Not a word. She advances, finger still pointed. If only there were a nearby object she could climb in order to be properly fearsome, but alas, there is only a trashcan, and very few people look properly fearsome on a trashcan.]

"I have come this direction, and you have come this direction; I have crossed the street, and you have crossed the street. I have turned a corner, and you have turned a corner, and you have always been behind me. Logically, sir, this is following, and this cannot be permitted! To follow an innocent girl and to make her feel uncomfortable causes the worthy gods of Justice to frown!"

[She strikes a pose, finger still jabbed outward.]

[He gives up a slight canine-sounding whine]

Aww, but...

[It's rare that Amelia's Justice speeches actually work on anyone, and so she takes advantage of it. Crossing her arms, nodding firmly, she does her best to look official.]

"It's not nice. That settled, sir, who put you up to such a nefarious task?"

[A pause, and a blink.]

"And your hat really is strange . . . It doesn't look comfortable."

[chibihowling]

Um... no one?

[It's so very obvious that he's lying]

...and the hat.. well... I woke up with it...

[Amelia fixes him with a firm Eye.]

"I don't believe it! Spies are *always* sent by *somebody.* No one ever decides they should just follow someone all by themselves!"

[She's making a lot of assumptions here. She always does. Astounding that she actually might be right in this case.]

"You're supposed to be wearing black, too. All spies wear black. Why aren't you wearing black?"

[Another pause.]

"And you woke up with your hat?"

[chibihowling]

I-I don't know... spies...black? I don't know what you're talking about!

[And that was actually not a lie...]

[fistsofjustice]

[Sigh. Didn't *anyone* know the rules for being a bad guy? Amelia is beginning to give up on the world.]

"If you're a spy, you *should* be wearing black, and you should always have been sent by somebody. That's just how it *works.* Let's try something else. *Why* are you following me?"

[chibihowling]

But I don't know if I'm a spy...

[Pause, blinks... what should he say?]

Ummmmm...

[fistsofjustice]

[She stares.]

"How could you not know??"

[chibihowling]

Well... I... I just don't, okay!

[fistsofjustice]

"At least you had to have been *following* for a reason . . ."
