the punk scene has become a joke, all thanks to bands like blink 182, simple plan, and good charlotte. they are all afraid of losing money

bad religion was signed to a major label, and after they made 3 albums, they fucked over the system by making the shittiest album they could, on purpose, to piss off the record company. they leave, brett gurewittz forms epitaph. the rest is history.

the clash, the sex pistols, the ramones, all signed to major labels
but they weren't like the major label bands of today
they didn't compromise their integrity to be on a major label
the supposed mainstream punk of today has lost it's balls

call me an elitist, i don't care, i'm strong willed with my opinions

epitaph records has roughly 35 employees
fat wreck chords has roughly 25 employees

hows that for independent labels?
