[Now that James and Hal have been reunited, they're back to their usual antics... for the most part. James still fully intends to protect his friend, especially if his enemy is his father

[Hal stares down at where his friend had shrunk down to. Coming out of his shirt was... a snake?]

J-James?

[lilquid]

[James raises his head, looking up at Hal and appearing slightly distressed. What the hell happened to him?]

Sssssss!

[His long tongue escapes his mouth and he promptly reins it back in, shaking just a little. Has he turned into a... snake?!]

[Hal wasn't the biggest fan of snakes... they were creepy... It was all he could do not to move away from it.]

I-Is that you?

Hhhhhal?

[James hisses, trying to get used to speaking with this body. He moves a little closer.]

[THAT was kind of creepy. But he bent down next to his friend.]

W-why are you a snake?

[lilquid]

[His tongue flicks out briefly.]

Iiii... don't know. I guess it's the room's fault...

[He has to really focus to speak, but he thinks he's getting the hang of it.]

Y-you look funny...

[He had never seen a snake that looked like him.]

W-why didn't I turn into one?

[lilquid]

"Funny"?! [He scoffs the best he can in such a foreign body.] What do you mean?

[He is secretly relieved that Hal didn't change. It's bad enough that he did.] Dunno... maybe because I'm more like one than you.

M-more like an animal?

[He tips his head.]

S-so are you going to turn back when you leave?

[lilquid]

[Dang it, James wants to shrug, but he can't. Instead he shakes his head.]

Not sure, but I hope so.

[He moves a little closer to Hal but wouldn't really be able to explain why.]

Snakes are creepy... too bad you couldn't have turned into a dog...

Well, sorry.

[He sounds a little upset. Does that mean even his friend doesn't like him like this? This situation isn't doing much for his inferiority issues.]

[He starts slithering around Hal's shoes.]

[mnotacomputer]

[He sticks out a finger and tentatively touches the snake though. It feels cool~]

Y-you're pretty cool though~

[lilquid]

Yeah? Heh.

[He starts slithering up Hal's leg, curling around him fairly tightly so he doesn't fall. He kinda likes this~]

[Still creepy...]

[He reaches down about to pick up James but pauses.]

Y-you're not gonna bite me... are you?

[lilquid]

Bite you? Why would I? I'm supposed to protect you, remember?

[When it comes to Hal he's pretty harmless.]
