You've got a friend
[Otacon had remained hidden during the time the war had gone on. When she emerged, she noticed the ruined halls, but was glad to see there were no injured civilians closeby. She was not a doctor in that field, but she did know the basics of first aid. Mostly because of Snake.]
[She had found herself missing her Snake quite a lot over the past few months. She had saltpeppered to keep her company but even then, she felt she wasn't enough to keep him satisfied, not just as a partner, but a friend. She knew he was hung up on his past failures along with the previous Otacon he had been with, and there was nothing she could do to take his pain away. That tore her up more than she would care to admit.]
[The engineer roamed the halls, trying to search for something a little familiar to her. She found herself standing in front of the Shadow Moses room. Quickly scanning the current floor she was on for intruders, Otacon paced her way quickly inside and stepped out into the cold room. If she could get back to her lab, maybe she'll be more productive and helpful. Maybe she'll be useful to someone.]
[Her movements were quick, yet reluctant. She swallowed hard at the blood stains that remained near her lab, pulling her labcoat tighter around her slender frame, but shut her eyes to move past it. The memories of the Ninja would always haunt her, but it was part of her past now. She couldn't dwell on it any longer.]
[Halie pushed open the door of her lab. The chairs were strewn everywhere and the room was in near darkness. She inhaled slowly, eyes flickering up to observe the broken super computers along the walls. Everything was as it was, yet at the same time, entirely different. She hefted up one of the chairs and took a seat, looking over the papers swept across the desk.]
Guess I should try and get this lab up and running again.
