*Mantis's breathing was becoming slower and shallower as he talked to Snake, but he was not ready to leave just yet. He still had a few tasks left at hand.*

This is the first time I've ever used my powers to help someone...
*He could feel himself slipping away.*
It's strange... it feels...

*Once he managed it though he felt his body go limp, and for a moment he could feel nothing. He must be dead now, or at least that was what he thought. But something strange seemed to occur. He realized that he could feel a floor beneath himself again, and he heard voices nearby. They didn't belong to the girl Meryl, or the soldier Solid Snake. He opened his eyes and slowly got back on his feet.*
This must be purgatory.
*He started to float down the hallways looking for the sources of the voices he had heard.*
