[If the man standing before him really did die at that incident involving Outer Heaven, why did he look so old standing in front of Huey now? This didn't make any sense!]

[He raised an eyebrow, his lips just barely twitching into a smile. Technically, he had actually died twice; originally at Outer Heaven, and then at the Boss's grave. However, he had ended up here after passing on, and had actually grown two years older, it seemed.]

[Emmerich could sense that was no joke. He was still confused about the whole Big Boss's death date though... Maybe it was an alternate dimension thing. Or maybe Solid Snake just lied to him about that. He felt he shouldn't ask much more on the subject. If Big Boss didn't want to talk about it, it wouldn't happen. I highly doubt that. To be honest, I was only alive for a very short amount of time during 2014. I passed away, and then ended up here. Once again I have "escaped" death, it seems.
