[Perhaps by chance, Cyborg Ninja happened to be walking the very same halls as this Solid Snake. He remembered clearly their last meeting, how he had been forced into running away - the pain overthrowing his body, making him lose sight of his goal. And yet, it had also given him clarification. He was beginning to remember certain aspects of his life all thanks to his collision with his young rookie friend.]

[Perhaps as a warning of his appearance, the area becomes jammed. It was a subtle way to give indication to Snake that Fox was close by.]

[Notices this, and he grimaces, looking around warily.]

[For the moment, the Cyborg appeared to be coping relatively well, even with the memories lingering from their last encounter. It was a truly thrilling experience to be within Snake's range once again and he showed no signs of bolting.]

[The mutated being swaggered forward. The cold blade was at his side, pressing in against his thigh.]

I have been waiting for the day you show your face to me once more.

[Looks to him, but he doesn't back away. Instead, he holsters his gun.]

I'm not here to fight you.

[The Ninja laughed. His voice was metallic and rasped, amused by the sentiments the other soldier spoke.]

There is little else for us to do, my friend. A battle to the death... Perhaps then, you may free me of this never-ending pain coursing through my veins.

You can't die here. If you die, you just come right back. It's not the same here, Fox!

[Cyborg Ninja walked closer to Snake, not yet drawing his weapon. He took his time to approach the opposing soldier until they were nearly pressing faces.]

I am prepared to take that risk.

There's no risk, Fox. [Stands his ground, even with the Ninja so close to him.] Either one of us will revive, you'll come back and just want to kill me again. There's no end to it!

[A quiet, whirling noise emitted from the Ninja in a quiet strum. He stood still, simply watching his opponent, his friend with his masked gaze.]

I wish to try... as death may be the only variable in this world to ease my pain.

[Cyborg Ninja planted his hands on Snake's upper arms and squeezed firmly. Hysteria was beginning to build.]

I need... to breathe again-! I need... I need this pain to go. Help me, Snake.
