EVA had naturally been broody for quite a while, and maintaining a close relationship with John had only heightened her desire to take her stance as a lover and a parent. To meet John's sons had been a pleasant enough experience and she had promised the boys

[Solidus was finally out of the wheelchair and he couldn't think of a better way to celebrate! He enters the jungle room happily, equipped once more with his Snake Arms and looking around for his new Mommy.]

[It took EVA a few moments to realize that the boy plodding into the jungle room was George. She did a double-take initially, due to the lack of a wheelchair, replaced with the arms.]

George?

[worldpresident]

[Solidus pauses and looks behind him, half-expecting the other nine-year-old him to be there before realizing Mommy meant him. He grins happily at her.]

Hi Mommy! Look, Look! Hal fixed my Snake Arms an' I don't need the wheelchair anymore!

[As long as he took lots of breaks, anyway. His legs were still a bit weak and the heavy Arms would take some getting used to.]

[EVA smiled at the affectionate title given to her. She crouches down in front of him to give him a quick looking over, just to make sure everything was okay.]

What exactly do you use these arms for?

[worldpresident]

[Solidus is healing well and looks happy and healthy.]

They help me fight and reach for things. I've had them for forever, so they're just like my other arms to me!

[He waves them around then has one reach out as if to shake EVA's hand.]

[EVA blinked down at that arm but extended her own hand to shake it.]

The dexterity in these arms are like nothing I've seen before.

It's also really wonderful to see you're out of your chair.

[worldpresident]

[It shakes gently and seems to preen with the other at the compliment. Solidus isn't sure what "Dexterity" meant, but it sounded good.]

Thank you! I'm glad to be out of it too! It was a real pain to be cooped up all the time.

[Which is probably why he's bouncing a little on the balls of his feet. He hasn't visited an outside room since getting trapped in that super-cold one.]

[The woman smiled wider at the excitement shown in George's face. She eventually shifted back to a standing position and extended her hand to her near son's for him to grab.]

Well, Solidus. You're in for a treat today. As soon as your brother turns up, we're going for an adventure in the jungle.

You'll be able to walk around as much as you like.

[worldpresident]

[Solidus takes her hand, enjoying how it fit comfortably around his own. Strong, but a different strong than Daddy.]

I'm glad James is coming! My Solid and Liquid don't get out much.

With parents like myself and your father, that comes as a surprise. They need to get out as much as possible.

I don't want any of my children turning into hermits.

[EVA coaxed her thumb back and fourth across George's palm.]

[worldpresident]

[He likes that and squeezes her hand gently.]

I think they just wait until Daddy and I are gone, then sneak out to explore on their own. They're lots better at sneaking than I am!

We can develop those skills together. Then you can sneak up on your brothers and taunt them~ How does that sound?

[EVA grinned at Solidus as she continued to stroke his hand... until she received a call.]

[Once she had conversed with John, the woman looked down to George and smiled once more. She crouched down again.]

Your father's going to be here soon. A younger one than you're used to, but he wants to spend time with you guys as much as I do.

[Her voice became a hushed whisper to conceal the secrecy, winking as she spoke.] And he doesn't mind if you eat cookies out of the jar~

[worldpresident]

That sounds great!

[Solidus could make good use of being forgotten about a lot. He waits politely for Mommy to talk with the caller and his eyes widen when he's told the news.]

Really? He wants to meet me? He won't get mad if we spoil our dinners?

[histemptation]

He does. And he won't get mad.

If he does, I'll punish him later.

[EVA grins to herself.]
