An update. For reals...

So, what's been going on then?

Last Thursday was Hairspray with Mum, lizbuf and meeshy in Woking. A LOT better than I was expecting to be honest. We had awesome seats and it was very entertaining and fun. Of course there were moments we broke - the guy playing Link also played Troy in HSM2 on tour and brought across a whole heap of mannerisms that amused me and lizbuf no end.

Friday was back at work, boo and all that.

Saturday and Sunday were pretty much totally lost to my kurt_blaine fic exchange submission. But more on that later!

Monday, ahh sweet sweet holiday times! Monday we went up to London for an RJ Anderson book signing. Which was fantastic, because she is utterly lovely. Honestly, if you life YA fantasy stuff check her books (Knife, Rebel and Arrow so far) they are brilliant. Kick ass Fairies! After that we wandered, checked out China Town (how had mum never been round there) and I took a trip to Cyber Candy! And then stayed up to 1:40am working on the kurt_blaine fic!

Tuesday we decided on a trip down to Southampton, because we hadn't been for a while. Had glorious fish and chips at Harry Ramsdens and walked round all the shops in the world. And got more sweets! Then stayed up to 1:15am to finish the kurt_blaine fic.

Wednesday, aka today. Back up to London - am seriously spending most of this week off on a train. This time we were, no surprise, off to see Wicked :D
Last week before cast change, wanted to see it once more before that. Insanely small crowd today, but my GOD what a show. I swear Rachel Tucker gets better EVERY time we see her. Which is depressing given she was utterly phenomenal the first time but hey. We were sat right up the front but in the centre block for the first time and the seats were damn near perfect (third row) - noticed so much more than we have before sitting to the left of the stage. Comedy moment at the end of the first act - the curtain was slow to come down so Rachel was up waving at people while she waited
I think I'm going to miss Lee Mead as Fiyero. Won't miss being surrounded by people who only want to see the show because Lee Mead is in it - the woman next to mum today was trying to strike up conversation about Joseph and looked all confused when we said we hadn't seen it OR the TV show thingy. TOTALLY going to miss George Ure as Boq, have totally adored him (didn't like the alternative Boq we had in November).
But yeah, as long as Rachel Tucker is there I think I can guarantee future visits ;o)

Tomorrow we were planning a visit to IoW zoo... but it's closed, so changing plans!
