It begins! La da da la lump a doo!
I had almost forgotten the cult-like, addictive nature of theatre. All of a sudden, I've gone and gotten myself cast in a show before the last one is over. For those who haven't heard, the Rudes are doing Faustus this summer, to be directed by the fierce and mighty
slaversbane. I will be portraying several characters - various combinations of Good Angel/Evil Angel and Dick and Robin. I'm excited to be working with some familiar faces (
jcsbimp,
777666,
entropicalia,
wondermojz,
badmagic), but especially
cats_n_crying, who I have not shared the stage with in over five years...has it really been that long? I'm looking forward to the challenge of playing multiple roles, and swapping them from night to night. A particular hardship for me will be the use of masks, since I'll be the first to admit that I rely heavily on facial expressions to convey meaning. So strap in, folks, it's gonna be a helluva toboggan ride.
