Stop trailing off... AND FINISH YOUR THOUGHT.

The problem with attempting to be social is that it doesn't leave a lot time for the important things in life: like reading every post on my flist in detail and reading fic and re-recording the podfic that Audacity had the audacity to mangle. Pretending to be a normal person is so very tiring ( Read more... )

I think so? All of a sudden, a ton of J2 photos from each of the weddings are popping out of the woodwork.

I'm glad you're still on my side about this. ;) (I actually make a D: face every time I see a "BABIES NAO \o/" comment)

I don't think I'll be able to get the podfic to you for beta-ing before the weekend! :x I'm hoping my housemates will be out of the house tomorrow evening and I'll be able to spend sometime engaging in the Important Things in my life. ;)

BEING SOCIAL IS SUCH HARD WORK, OMG. It drains so much of my energy!

The pic is sweeeeet, but it's true, I agree with everything you said. And I'm pretty squicked out by "they need to have babies now!" comments. Like, I get that they would produce beautiful children, but there's no pressure or anything! Who's to say they even want children?

I know, right? D: It's fun (and, idk, rewarding?), but I desperately need to recharge my social batteries. X3

Y'know, there's a chance that neither couple would produce beautiful children! ;D Recessive genes! Mutations! \o\

I am still squicked by the "Omg, they need to pop out a billion pretty babies, like, nao" comments. Marriage ≠ baby-producing

I don't get why some people are so vocal about them popping out babies, either. What difference does it make if they have kids or not? Why is it fandom's business either way? They just got married. Let them have some time to themselves for a while. They may find, as my husband and I have, that not having children is okay, too.

This, exactly! I find it surprising at how many people seem to automatically associate marriage with procreation. I wonder if the "I hope they beautiful babies soon!" is just one of those things to say in such situations (i.e. following a wedding)?

It is! For every hour of socialness, I need at least two more hours of aloneness to recharge. ;)
