So I finally got my keys back on Friday, yahoo! Amazing feeling to finally be in the house and take back ownwership of my/our home.

The very next day, I moved all my kitchen related weddings gift boxes over to the property. I didn't want to unpack them as I was considering getting the kitchen repainted (it's wood and it has yellowed in some parts) from age but my sister decided to start unpacking and I went along with it. It doesn't matter, I can always move stuff out of the cupboards again if I need to.

My brother also loaded up a medium fridge, washing machine, chairs and other bits and pieces which are now in the house. Have a bit more to do but will wait until the house is painted first.

Monday is my biggest day at the house so far with appointments.

Gas meter reading & re-connection
Alarm recoding
Blinds consultation
Window repl O'Briens (at tenants cost)
Delivery of fridge & microwave

All while it's being painted!

My brother is helping out a huge deal with handyman sort of things. He's helped repair windows, flyscreens, cleared drains, unblocked draws, will replace all my power point/ light switch covers and fan extractor fans, removed bifold doors which were just causing damages, got the air conditioner working properly again and did heaps more. And he brought me lunch after helping me get furniture packed and to the house. lol.

That made me very happy. My sister bought me heaps of groceries and accessories and helped with the kitchen too which I am very greatful for. I am very lucky to have their help. There had been friends promising to help and they are unable to do so so their help is very welcome.

My sister will put together my dining table and chairs this weekend so it'll be wonderful to have somewhere nice and new to sit - I've never owned my own new dining set with super comfy matching chairs - got it on sale at Harvey Norman - and I can't wait!

There are some issues with the house that need to be fixed, I just hope they are not too serious. My huge bedroom window moves. The window and frame all looks fine I just hope it needs to be removed, re plastered or whatever is done and then reinstalled. If it is anything else, it'll be an extra cost which may very well make me cry. Windows aren't cheap! I am checking to see if I can put in an insurance claim, fingers crossed!

The next day after setting up house a bit, I went on a 3 night reinsurance course for work:

I was away from Sunday morning until Wednesday afternoon. It was very packed full of learning and I was exhausted by the end. An extremely great experience though and it was held at the Sebel Resort and Spa. I had my very own spa which I used twice, woo hoo!

So... Otherwise, I am sure there is other news but I need to get back to work for now. Will write more later. :-)
