Why I Want to Go Back to Minnesota
1. My parents don't understand that the purpose of heaters is to make your house so you don't have to wear your winter clothes INDOORS.
2. My mom has a limited number of ideas, and I heard all of them shortly after I moved out. I am fully aware that she always wanted her hair to do what mine does, that she wishes she could wear that color, and she doesn't think I "spend enough time on 'me.'" Yet she never shuts up.
3. I didn't pack enough clothes and I've worn everything twice now.
4. Mom seems to think I have unlimited luggage space and keeps giving me things to take back. If I stay another day I won't be able to lift my bags.
5. My brother's computer is mind-numbingly slow.
6. I am no longer able to check my email because whatever is on my POP3 server exceeds my Hotmail quota and it keeps downloading the same 10 messages and then giving me an error message.
7. Telnet sucks. I want my MUD client back.
8. I have Star Wars on VHS now, and I want to watch it.
9. I have 256MB of RAM in my computer, and I'm stuck using this POS until I get back.
10. I've seen four movies and there isn't anything left to do here.
11. The boredom level reached an all time high yesterday when I actually suggested we play The Charades Game, and we couldn't because there weren't enough people.
12. I want to see if all my fish are dead.
13. If you're reading this, I probably miss you.
The Bad Side of Going Back
1. Lots of flights were cancelled at Hartsfield today because of snow. As tired as I am of being here, I really don't want to be stuck there again.
2. Hmmmm, nope there is no 2.
