LJ's icon maker isn't the best way to make icons. The best way is to get your hands on Paint, Photoshop, or any other graphics program to cut the images down to LJ's standards.

Anyway, I ran the image through Photoshop and got it down to what LJ likes:

Thanks for the heads-up. I usually use the lj icon maker because I'm not very tech-savvy, but shoot, I can handle Paint!
