NO. NOOOOOO. I DON'T WANNA.
Alright, fine. My least favorite song is "Mandy" by Barry Manilow.
Reasons:
1. I've never been keen on the name "Mandy" instead of Amanda. Mandy sounds so childish and almost belittling, y'know? So hearing someone use that variation of my name makes me twitch a little.
2. This is the most important reason: In high school I worked with a summer school program for migrant children (a different one than the one I'm working with this year). One year I worked with the kindergarteners, and the teachers for some awful reason decided the only music that would put the kids to sleep at naptime was a CD of Barry Manilow's Greatest Hits. Imagine listening to a Barry Manilow CD twice every afternoon, five days in a bloody row. I hope you can understand my pain.

There are just NO good songs with the name Amanda, are there? This particular song is soooo flippin' melodramatic and schmaltzy. The song "Amanda" by Boston is slightly better, but still rather schmaltzy. "Crazy Amanda Bunkface" by Sum 41 is an attack on a crazy ex named Amanda, so of course I don't like that. Those are the only songs I know with my name. *SIGH* Why couldn't my name be Layla or something?
