Hamburg

My dear friends,

some of you might know that I suck at admitting failure. That's the reason why I write this in English and why it took me so long.

My first audition in Hamburg on Sep12th went...not so good. I didn't make it to the recall. Pretty much the cut me off after not even two minutes. The it took them another two to decide I'm not what they're looking for. No reasons, no tips, no nothing.
After I waited from 9 in the morning until half past 2 in the afternoon, they sent me home with nothing but 90€ less in my wallet.
There were 60 people there that day, and I was the last to audition. Waiting there sucked more than anything. First there were many people to talk to, but they all left after they were done, so in the end I had to wait all by myself. By that time I was tired, my head hurt like crazy, and I had nothing left to drink.
I cried a bit when I told my mom, and a bit more when I told Andi. I didn't really expect anything from my first audition, but I've always hated to be turned down. And to be turned down in such an arrogant way really hurt.

I asked myself if I can handle being turned down maybe 15 more times, and I think I can. Because I know why I do it, and I know it's worth it.

So long,
Marie
