The opinions were personally offensive. You have no idea what was said in that class. You know their story or my story. Neither version could accurately recap the disgust the comments made me feel. They were personally offensive to me as a girl. This is 2004, not god damn 1954. This isn't a society where girls need guys to survive. It's not a society where I'm going to sit back and let guys talk about screwing numberous girls and it being all their fault. Girls let guys have sex with them, so they're entitled to screw as many girls as will let them? Do you believe that or think it's right? No it's a stupid opinion. Opinions can be stupid. If I said, "Hey, burning down houses is a great thing to do." That's a dumb ass opinion and if it's not dumb to the person who thought it, they're dumb.
And you obviously do care if you took the time to write that. I'm not going to let it go, things don't just slide off my back. I have a spine and a voice and it will be heard regardless of if you like my opinions or not.

As a girl, as a girl with sisters and cousins and friends who are girls, I'm not going to sit back with my little hands and my little books and listen to boys blatantly disrespecting females for no reason other than making some point in a theology class.

i have a spine too, thanks. i don't let guys disrespect me. and in defense of guys, i have alot of guy friends who are very respectful of girls. not every guy is a scumbag.
if a girl is going to let any guy screw her, then she doesn't have respect for herself. so why will anyone else?
there are so many girls who expect respect from guys but have absolutely no respect for themselves. its so hypocritcal. i feel if you respect yourself then other people should to. but if you're a slut and open your legs for everyone, then you really dont deserve it.

I know you have a spine. My comments are not just about you.
So you think that if you had sex with someone, you have no respect for yourself?
These comments aren't about anything in general, but you seem to be taking them to heart. Some girls who have sex do have respect for themselves, they think, "Hey, this is my boyfriend and I love him so I will have sex with him." It's not that girl's fault if she has sex with someone she loves and he goes and screws a new girl the next day.
I know not all guys are scumbags. Almost all of the guys I hang out with are very respectful. I know one of my best friends is.
Girls who "open their legs" for anyone shouldn't be respected. Neither should guys sticking their dicks in anything that moves.
I don't want to be fighting with you about this. It's not about one person or another. It's a general thing. It's against that if a girl has sex she's a slut, but if a guy doesn he's a hero. It's about boys making general comments, but if you think that what those boys said was right, you don't have self respect as a girl.
And you obviously do care if you took the time to write that.
