oh oh oh my sis is in the toilet so i have to wait for her to come out
today was progress report day (4 times a year only ha ha how special), so fast eh, i remember typing that 2 (has it even been that long?) months ago on this very page.
Sooo I met my goals and more.
Pi? Yep.
Passed chinese? Yep.
But somehow I'm not really pleased (yes i'm so greedy), though at the same time quite pleased.
Unhappy because... well it suddenly doesn't seem so good to me anymore, the same kind of "could have been better" crap (and I do believe it could have been better, slightly better) and happy because well, it's not bad I suppose.
As usual, under the cut : )
As printed on the report card:
Biomedical ScienceA179%ChemistryA183%CIDA178%GeographyB461%ChineseC650%Language ArtsA270%Singapore StudiesA274%MathematicsA273%Overall3.371%
So yea my A1s on the top, A2s at the bottom and the lousy subjects sandwiched in between, ha ha!!!
I think that's pretty close to my best actually.
Could have done better for SS and maths, and maybe geog.
Oh well. As Laura says, work so hard for what. It's next year that counts! : )
So. This year I've gone from 2.4 to 2.9 to 3.1 and now 3.3.
Not bad at all, I would say. What do I aim for next year?
Logically speaking it would be 3.4 or something, which I think subconsciously is what I'm aiming for, and part of me's all, "bring it onnnn" but ha ha like that's gonna happen.
As i said, we don't seem to get bigger brains to study more difficult topics with.
Afterwards DR JY and JSL came my house to play daidaidaidi and I won like CRAP. (ok I dropped out of the 'royal family' about thrice but that's about it ok!!!)
"People who play the cello are simply not good looking. They have generally chosen their instrument because, while in use, the cello hides 80% of its player's considerable bulk. Most cellists are in analysis which won't end until they can play a scale in tune or, in other words, never. Cellists wear sensible shoes and always bring their own lunch."
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!
I read that on
xinni's blog. Looks like I'm just not cut out to play the cello since:
1. I am chio (fuck you, if you dare do more than raise your eyebrows at this) (and yes i'm jk)
2. "Considerable bulk" <- untrue
3. Flip flops (which decorate my feet most of the time, disgusting as that may be) hardly make "sensible shoes"
4. I have never brought my own lunch (only for recess) before
So why blame me Ms yu. Ha ha!!
