Oh god,
the pain. "Please make it stop. Just let me die," I seem to recall whimpering.
On the other hand, there were trailers for
House of Flying Daggers (which just pushes all of my buttons in all of the best button-pushing sorts of ways), Alexander, The Incredibles (which looks too amusing for words), and Phantom of the Opera. I couldn't give a toss about Phantom, but it makes B melt in her seat, so I suppose I'll be dragged there at some point.
We've been invited to Thanksgiving dinner with another American couple who are here. She is the chief of staff of B's division, so her careerist tendencies will, I suspect, be at full throttle. Oh boy.
And the car is off getting its MOT test in Darley, which is about 2-3 miles from here. Nice walk -- quiet country lanes with cow and sheep farms on either side. The weather is just right. Ahh.
In other news, we move into our new house on Wednesday. Woo!
