manager stats
Well there's a big time gap in my journal, but I'm going to leave it there. I will just say that my summer was fun, busy, and now its nearly over. I start school monday. I worked it out so that I would get out of school by 2 every day and that way school really won't interfere with work. I currently have no plans of quitting and I do plan to work part-time through college. AHHH. I still don't beleive I'm finally a college student.
Um.. I got my first library card today. sad, I know. But I have one.
Work has been crazy this week. my hours have easily doubled due to an emergency prohibiting my boss to make it to work. So, I have taken on her opening hours. In addition, our assistant manager is on vacation. So we are down to third and fourth(me) managers.
I was a last minute opening manager yesterday. When I say last minute, I mean my boss woke me up fifteen minutes before I had to get there.- The day before, we had also made a mutual descicion that I was going to step down from my manager status for a while. HA! that lasted long.- So, yesterday, I unconsciously agreed to run our truck. I knew we were getting one, but it didn't process that if my boss wasn't there, I would have to figure out the whole process by myself. I get the "scan," "stack," "scan"... process, but there's the uploading it onto the computer that I was never taught. I figured it out, however. After work, I had to run to Rio Rancho for a babysitting job. So, I worked a total of 13 hours monday.
Today, I slept late and somehow made it to work on time to open again. My boss called and asked if I could open tomorrow, and in light of the cituation, I felt bad to refuse. So, I open tomorrow too.
I need to take a bath and dip into a book. I think I'll go do that.
