yesterday's wedding was fantabulous. and a LOT of work. this was, by far, the most challenging wedding we've done so far and, for that reason, it's the shining star of our portfolio to date.
the couple forgot a few (okay, lots) of things like a wine bottle opener and a cake cutting/ serving set. (we, lord knows how, found a wine opener and they cut the cake with a butcher knife). the hardest thing about being a great coordinator isn't solving problems like this, it's doing so while making the couple believe there aren't any problems and that your presence there is really useless.
at this point, even though i could have prevented some snags from ever happening, i still very much enjoy being the person who comes in only on their wedding day to being the one who plans everything from the beginning.
