I am going to have the BEST costume at the school workers and faculty Halloween party this year. Each of the departments has a table to decorate. I don't know who is in charge of ours, but I have to find out because I have an idea that wont go away. We're the ENGLISH department, man. Obviously, we have to have a literary table.

Anyway, I was gonna go as Hamlet, but then Target managed to talk me out of it by having awesome masks tonight so now...I'm going as The Raven! I need to find a cloak or hoodie for my head, something to hide my hair in, and some black bottoms and feather trims, and I should be all set to go. I also wrote my syllabi tonight, so yay! :)

Hamlet is still happening at some point in the future, mind you. Probably when I can afford a proper doublet to do it right. This year would have been Budget Hamlet with black clothes and a skull to carry around, but my awesome new mask changed all of that.

I also finally got to order my plushie at the start of the month, from the gals I found who make them both bigger, and for a cheaper price (They use muslin for the bodies and not fleece, which I can live with) and he should be ready in three weeks or so, sold some dolls I wasn't into anymore, and have a few other doll things I'm still trying to offload on people. I've decided to focus on the Cabbage Patch Kids since they're so cute and it's so much fun to find them at random places like yard sales, the Kiwanis Club store, etc. I've only gotten one from ebay and two miniature ones in animal suits from Kmart and the rest have come from places like that, for rarely over three dollars (I think Gemma Marie was around five bucks at Value World) and they're just fun to look out for and grab as I can. I'm only keeping a few of my bigger dolls around now, since I just don't have the space, and really only actively doing my cabbies and my souvineer dolls from around the world at this time, and it feels pretty good to have cleared stuff out and have the space for it.

Oh, and I've been reading The Ranger's Apprentice series and I absolutely love it. There's a secondary character I am quite in love with, and senior Ranger Halt is the best thing I have seen in kid lit in a long LONG time. It's like if Aragorn actually said everything that he was thinking, and wasn't quite so noble, and I ADORE it. So, kind of like if Aragorn met my prince_birdman, I suppose. And yeah... Classes start for me next week (I somehow netted all late starts, don't ask me how), and I'm really looking forward to it. I've got two 131's and a 132 (my FAVORITE curriculum!) So I'm pretty well into it these days.

Oh and I've been finishing up a second run-through of Dragon Age 2 as a mage this time, and playing Dragon Age Origins in between, but I have to admit Origins really frustrates me on a lot of levels. The mother fucking FADE for one, my copy of the game's tendency to freeze and lose saves for another, but I'm getting there, and like the warden PC's I've been running. Oh, and I was invited into a campaign last week by a cute guy at the pie place who saw my gaming shirt and gave me his numbers when he found out I did'nt have a current in person group. And some Guild Wars with Boy, who talked me into it when our usual Dragon Nest decided to stop letting us play around together. He's got a ranger-monk and I've got a warrior-mesmer so we compliment each other really well. And no strangers are around to spam me with cyber requests or to yell at me for dying in dungeons while I try to heal them, tank, and deal damage (don't EVER dungeon with the mage who thinks s/he can pull and agree to protect their ass, and don't ever go in as a secondary tank unless you know the first tank knows what they're doing, and make damn sure you have a real healer around so they can yell at someone else instead of the overworked Paladin...old rant there, sorry.

I've also been wanting to write Wil's story again, and think I'm going to get restarted soon. I'd reached a decent point that I can branch off from so that's a relief! And stuff. Shutting up now!
