When you see this, post five unpopular fandom opinions in your journal.

1. Paul McGann, attractive as he is, is not at all a proper William Bush. He ought have been Gerard instead.

2. Marian's death was hilariously executed. I laughed. A lot.

3. Qui-Gon Jinn is just about the world's biggest asshole ever.

4. Jackson did a good thing with FOTR and with making Tolkien accessible again and he certainly created his vision of Middle Earth and was faithful to it through the films. I'll give him that even if I don't agree with many of his choices. That said, I'm relieved he isn't making The Hobbit.

5. When Theoden asked Eowyn to remain in Rohan and rule their people, he was a. giving her a military order, b. taking into consideration her role as lady of his household and someone familiar with the way things worked, and c. actually demonstrating a high level of respect for her and her abilities. He was not being a sexist jerk making her stay home. Nor was Aragorn being one when he told her the same thing. It was just the sensible, reasonable thing to do and was based largely on what she had experience doing, not out of any desire to keep her "safe". As if it would have been safe if they failed. They knew what possibly could happen and Theoden wanted her in charge under those circumstances. That has to mean a LOT.
