Friday I spent 5.5 consecutive hours inside an engineering building, forgoing lunch. As a result, I spawned a 3600 word report and managed to save myself from certain doom. Stupid engineering, I totally kicked your ass. I got out my stored up energy by playing ultimate with some peoples and then was pleasantly surprised by the unexpected visit of XXXtina, Seeker of Jobs. Then an excursion to Parks library to find a recommended book, though the trip ended up being a childhood regression as my friend Eric and I had storytime with "Caps for Sale" and "The Napping House". On the way out I grabbed Gilead by Marilynne Robinson because I felt like it.
Finished off the evening watching Emma with Stennie/Christina/Eric and then having a long conversation.
Yesterday I dressed and ate lunch and the like, but after returning from lunch at 1:15 I got a phone call informing me that I was scheduled to work from 1 to 6 that day. The reason for my mistake: it is not in fact the weekend of April 23 and 24. Oops. Work until 6 followed by playing basketball at the rec and getting schooled by a random girl but it was a competitive game and fun. Sometimes I made a layup. Often I failed at ball-handling.
Home to hang out and eventually eat pizza. Late to bed.
This morning I was inspired to make my bed, and then I went to the UDCC for a surprisingly good lunch complete with baked potato and pumpkin bread. I also filched many packets of Peaches & Cream oatmeal which now pad my wrists. I plan to be lazy for most of the day and perhaps study later. Finals are imminent.
