I'm busy with comics and
sfemonster's dumb adventure game collab, so today's doodle is quick and dumb too!
This poorly rendered fellow is Friedrich, one of my oldest characters! I made him up in mid-high school for a long-defunct fantasy story of mine. He's a "nouveau gargoyle". The idea was that while old traditional gargoyles were carved from solid stone, certain people came up with a new kind of gargoyle sculpted from sleek, shiny metal. Whereas stone ones were solid and just as they were, the metal ones were streamlined and slightly malleable/fluid, and could shapeshift their forms slightly as a result. He may have been influenced by the Warwolves from old Excalibur comics I read.
I effed up the rendering TERRIBLY here, but Friedrich was one such gargoyle, and he's got kind of a gold/brass look to him. The story he was made for no longer exists, but I'm pretty sure I can find a place for him in my adventure game world.
