So... I found Sora and talked with him some. It was weird, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Anyway, he knows me, which is kind of surprising. He says he met me once, and maybe fought me, but I don't remember any of that... I guess I come from a different place than he does

Why are you so freaked out by the fact people from alternate planes and worlds exist? It keeps things nice and interesting.

Its pretty simple.

You arrive here, you speak to all sorts of fancy folk which seem like they're entirely mad and they're actually pretty clued up. You keep talking, you eventually give up on them and make a post saying you're bored totally and utterly. Then you watch other people angst, or you angst yourself. You start to hate them but out of boredom you keep responding to a few of them. Then you start liking them again.

Rinse.
Repeat.
Throw in a random complete idiot, or an "event" which makes everyone shit bricks, or a bit more angst just to spice things up.
