Early punks "69" led by Peter Liang Wei, Li Peng, Gao Yang and Tian Yue. This show was the first time Xiaorong came to a punk show, you can actually see Xiaorong at the front of the crowd. 69 was one of the first hardcore bands to show up on the punk scene, followed by anarchy jerks later on.

1st punk song to make it on the radio, Dou Yiyang (All the Same) became the anthem for many disgruntled Chinese youth searching for individuality. Dou Yiyang was a hit for many years, it was recorded long before the band became signed to a label and started touring nationally.

Xiaorong Cocktail 78 play on the Great Wall sometime around 1999-2000. Not the first band to play there, but definitely the first punk band.

This is THE first live show from Reflector, one of Beijing's original "gang of four" power punk bands. They re-arranged and got new members, the singer is now the drummer, and they turned into a ska punk band with a huge following. Hard to imagine all that hardcore came from this really cool little song called "Fei" played at Nianhua in 1997.
