Well, this is apparently gonna take all night to upload, so here is what I have so far from the Burbank convention Joe Flanigan was at.
Keep in mind, I mainly wanted these for the audio -- I knew full well I was sitting too far away for good video from my small camera (organizers' policy is personal photos are okay, but no video.).
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=R8VKLT4AJoe talks a bit about Women's Murder Club, and filming that during the Writer's Guild strike, then goes on to talk about the Malibu fires and how he went surfing. :)
I'll post with the other info later.
Oh, something I didn't see in
dajaje's report -- the very first thing Joe did was announce that his good friend Billy Baldwin is holding a charity auction for his mom, who has breast cancer. They're auctioning off an Atlantis set visit with a walk-on role! I couldn't recall the web site he announced, but I googled " "Billy Baldwin" auction Stargate" and it came right up. It looks like the auction has not yet begun, but they've got a ton of very good stuff donated.
All in all, Joe was just a very comfortable guy, very at ease with the convention crowd, great with the Q&As, lots of goofy impressions and wandering around the smallish stage. (At the very end, the staff asked him to autograph the tall banners hanging on either side of the stage, and he basically stood as tall as he could, signed, and then made a big arrow up to where his photo was (about 8 feet off the stage!). Oh yeah, and he sure doesn't seem like he's 6' 2" as someone said he is. But then again, in the photo op with me and
dajaje, he is a good bit taller than either of us (she's 5' 3" and I'm 5' 1") so.... I'll upload that tomorrow! :)
